From the Lichess puzzle database, which is released under the CC0 license. Every puzzle is a position from a real game, checked by a chess engine.
When is a new puzzle released?
Every day at 00:00 UTC. Everyone gets the same three puzzles on the same day, so you can compare results with friends.
How is my puzzle rating calculated?
You start at 1200. Solving a puzzle without mistakes or hints counts as a win against the puzzle rating; otherwise it counts as a loss. Your rating and streak are saved in this browser only.
